The Role:
You will be an integral part of a growing team, with an opportunity to work closely with the partners of the firm. You will also be encouraged to manage client relationships whilst managing the following tasks:
- Completing business year-end Financial Accounts and Income Tax Returns (for all entity types);
- Preparing business analytical data (financial ratios, benchmarking, tax planning, etc);
- Completing all other statutory compliance requirements.
- Liaising with government bodies.
- Liaising with clients on software consultancy matters.
- Experience with the ATO Tax Agent Portal.
- Career progress to be a tax specialist and Supervisor.
Qualifications & experience:
- Good organization skills to manage files and records.
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaborative skills, a dedicated work ethic and active learner
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all areas
- Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be target driven.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good working relationship.
You will also have the following proven experience and strong education background:
- Australian university qualified degree (majoring in Accounting)
- CPA in progress (we will sponsor your CPA program).
- Outstanding tax knowledge of Australian tax system
- Solid foundation of technical skills in taxation and accounting
- Exposure to Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB & 360 Simple fund etc;
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills.
